Brand Guideline

Project Goal

Two designers with different aesthetics wanted to combine the best of their personal style to create a fun shop with creative products for their customers' homes. One of the artist's aesthetic tends to be very geometric and structured, while the other's uses color liberally in their fun aesthetics.

Solution

I created a brand and guideline that includes the fun vibrant colors of one of the artists, while incorporating the use of hexagons, to accentuate the other's more structural aesthetic.

Brand Guideline

Project Goal

The Center for Health Communication wanted to create an original brand for their Health Communication Training Series (HCTS). Because the center is part of the University of Texas at Austin, the branding for HCTS needed to pull from the campus brand guidelines while still maintaining a unique point of view. The courses are welcoming and interactive, while also establishing the credibility of our instructors and the importance of evidence-based communication strategies that can be employed across all levels of communication. The HCTS brand should reflect the content.

Solution

I designed and animated a unique logo using sound waves to convey the communication element to HCTS courses. I also implemented UT Austin colors that most felt the most welcoming, approachable and appealing to the young professionals the center is targeting to take their courses.

Other Logo designs

The logo for the podcast, Talking About Talking About Health. It is on a aqua background. A White speech bubble says the words Talking About. Underneath that, but inside the white speech bubble, is an aqua speech bubble that says Talking About Health.

The Center for Health Communication has begun a new podcast called, "Talking About Talking About Health." I was tasked with creating the concept and design, which will now be used on the streaming service and promotional materials for the podcast.

The Watershed Arthouse Logo. It Features a Cyan W that flows through a Magenta A and a Yellow H.

Heidi Peelen, a Virginian artist, began an art collective called "Watershed Arthouse". Her main request was incorporating pure CMYK colors into the design, with an element of water. This was my interpretation for the project.

I created a logo for the dance studio Northern Lights Celtic Dancers. Because of their name, as well as their location in Anchorage, Alaska, I added a gradient resembling the northern lights on top of a Celtic knot.
